El Itacate
Located at Av. Revolution 15 this taco place tops the list of casual street-side taco places in town. El Itacate can be translated as "food to go" or "doggy bag". Their staple tacos are meat-based (rib-eye, sirloin, arrachera, etc.), but they also offer a great selection of seafood (pulpo is my personal favorite), vegetarian and chicken tacos. They are served with a delicious selection of sauces and sides with either flour or corn tortillas. You'll find Isaac, our property manager Marlene's husband most days (it's his restaurant) and he will be happy to offer plenty of additional tips on what else to explore around town.
L'Ulivio is an excellent, small Italian restaurant on Calle Pelicanos next to the river and approximately 300 feet from the beach. Excellent homemade pasta, great deserts, and wine selection. Henshin Sushi
Great Sushi restaurant that opened in December 2021 on Calle Miramar. During the day hidden behind a wooden gate set in the gardens of a small hotel called Casa Nawalli. This is a hidden gem that serves an omakase-style menu where the chef mainly prepares a menu based on locally caught fish as well as some specialty fish that are imported. Rayuela Sayulita is a one-man operation out of a converted horse trailer on Avenue del Palmar just past the baseball field. Seating is offered along the sidewalk and you'll find amazing coffee and delicious breakfast and lunch at this location. Pepe makes his own almond milk and takes huge pride in the quality of his food and drinks, he even washes all his dishes in purified water to ensure the safety of his guests.
La Rustica
A Sayulita Institution - Great Pizza restaurant and bar in the middle of downtown on Avenue Revolucion. Great handmade stone oven pizza. They also serve breakfast and lunch. Their website is www.larusticasayulita.com
