When to Visit

Sayulita has two very different seasons. December through April is the dry season: sunny, warmer water on the way out, bigger surf swells, and peak humpback whale activity from January to March — it's also the busiest and most expensive stretch of the year. May through October is the rainy season, with short afternoon showers, fewer crowds, gentler beginner-friendly surf, and lush green hillsides. Both have their appeal depending on what you're after.

Getting Around Once You're Here
